The Bass Museum of Art was founded in 1964 through the donation of a private collection by John and Johanna Bass to the City of Miami Beach.
Designer of iconic resorts such as The Fontainebleau, Eden Roc and Americana, Morris Lapidus helped define the MiMo look. His buildings with neo-baroque interiors enticed visitors with luxurious visions of vacation resort life.
